“In working with Christopher Finn, I have gained much knowledge in how to build a positive school climate and culture as a leader in my building. His dynamic approach has allowed me to explore potential areas within myself to dig deeper to reach more school wide members and make systemic change. He stressed the importance of the humanistic approach in really getting to know your stakeholders to identify their needs and keep these ongoing conversations to really address the needs of the school community as a whole. His team possesses an abundant knowledge base for bias training, cultural relevance, and so much more. I highly recommend Christopher Finn and his team if you truly want to see how we can address the systemic challenges in approaching real change in education.”

“Just wanted to say thank you for one of the most impactful and engaging professional development sessions I have been a part of in the last 26 years.  I’ve had multiple staff members say how much they Loved and Learned from your session.

I definitely would love to have you continue to support our growth in engagement, Implicit Bias, Equity and other topics.”

“Chris demonstrated innovative thinking and problem solving by keeping “the conversation relevant and most urgent. Chris' ability to be flexible is stellar but more importantly, not gone unnoticed.” Chris added value because his “discussion is alive and well around culturally-responsive learning. It is part of our everyday conversations and language as a district. Chris continues to be generous with his talent providing provocative dialogue in a professional manner in the MOST sensitive way possible taking into account where people are in their heads around the content. It is and will always be personal for Chris which is why he is so effective and well-respected.”

“Chris Finn transformed the culture of Bronx Compass High School.

Chris fostered a culture of mutual respect and trust with all stakeholders in the community.

Office hours were created so any staff could voice concerns or challenges, and sessions by self-identified affinity groups were held to ensure authentic conversations were had in addition to whole-staff town halls where equity of voice was a non-negotiable.

Chris met with all students multiple times during the school year during their classes, facilitated culturally relevant educational walkthroughs, and always shared his honest findings with the entire community to ensure his respect for improving outcomes by addressing inequity was never questioned.

This work together empowered our community to create our first Equity team comprised of students, families and staff.

During the spring of 2020, when the murder of George Flloyd created a nationwide call to examine America’s legacy of systemic racism, Chris Finn led our community through a painful period with respect, professionalism, and the communication tools to create safe and honest spaces to listen, learn, and heal.

I cannot endorse the work of Chris Finn highly enough.”

“Not many consultants who collaborate with Urban schools are able to utilize the culture and strength a school already has to bring it to an authentic next level. This by far has set Chris Finn apart from in the field. I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Finn in various capacities including classroom teacher, a member of the School Culture Team and currently as an Assistant Principal all in a Bronx High School setting. It is his common approach to begin his partnership by gathering anecdotals from all stakeholders and conduct walkthroughs to hopefully see how these ideas come to life in the day to day action within the school. His professional development series are a result of a collection of these data points and align with the vision of both the school and school leaders' vision. His work has focused on classroom practices for specific teachers that required a more 1:1 approach when reimagining the scholar/ educator relationship. School wide PDs were grounded on authentic actions that could be utilized the very next day when building classroom culture. In addition the work on racial equity and infinity groups provided a safe space for adults to dig deep within their own implicit bias and unpack how that may play a role in how they provide academic instruction to scholars in the South Bronx. The work and partnership continues and as we reopen our doors after a pandemic that has impacted so many academically and emotionally, I am am excited to work with Mr. Finn as he supports our educators, school culture team and School Leaders use data, research based ideas and organic strategies to build a safe community for critical thinkers.”

“Working with Chris Finn is both inspiring and motivating, and that is attributed to his ability to access capabilities and assign tasks accordingly. He also knows how to help others find their voice, develop their skill, and step into their purpose. He brings so much to the table until each encounter is just a fresh as the last one. Undoubtedly, he is a gift to a group of people struggling to understand their purpose, as well as to any individual in the same pursuit!”
